Who controls the assessment?

MedicReady is a department-facing platform for building, administering, recording, reviewing, and reporting department-controlled EMS and paramedic assessments.
Who is MedicReady designed for?
Fire departments, EMS agencies, hospitals, training organizations, and other authorized organizations that need a structured EMS or paramedic assessment workflow.
Does MedicReady provide a universal national paramedic test?
No. MedicReady provides the framework. Departments define and approve the content, standards, criteria, and outcomes for each assessment.
Who creates and approves assessment content?
The administering department and its authorized subject matter experts create, review, and approve the assessment package.
Can our department use its own protocols?
Yes. Departments control the protocol references and clinical standards connected to their assessments.
Can assessments use different scoring systems?
Yes. Scoring structures come from the approved assessment configuration; MedicReady does not silently impose one scoring model.
What does publish and lock mean?
Publishing and locking establishes an approved assessment version. Candidate attempts remain tied to the version used during administration.
Can a locked assessment be changed?
The locked version remains stable. Material changes should be made in a new version so prior attempts stay connected to the original package.

How do departments administer assessments?
How are candidates added?
Authorized department users can create candidate assignments and use supported roster workflows for an assessment cycle.
How are access codes distributed?
Departments can issue candidate access codes through configured invitation workflows or an authorized department process.
Can departments configure different modules?
Yes. The approved assessment flow determines which supported written, scenario, oral, and review components are included.
Can dates and timing be configured?
Assessment windows and supported timing controls are set in the assessment and candidate assignment workflow. Ask MedicReady to confirm the exact controls for your planned use.
What happens if a candidate loses connectivity?
The response depends on the point of interruption and the department's administration rules. Authorized staff should review the attempt record and use the approved support process.
Can accommodations be documented?
Departments remain responsible for accommodation decisions and communications. Ask MedicReady to confirm the current workflow available for your deployment.
Evaluation and records
How are attempts reviewed?
Does MedicReady make final decisions?
No. Authorized department reviewers determine ratings, dispositions, advancement, hiring, promotion, or clinical outcomes.
What role does automated analysis play?
It may help organize recorded evidence against approved criteria. It does not replace evaluator judgment or independently determine an outcome.
Can evaluators review and modify ratings?
Authorized reviewers can inspect configured evidence and use the available review and disposition workflow. Department policy governs who may make changes.
Are reviewer actions recorded?
MedicReady keeps relevant reviewer and disposition activity associated with the attempt where supported by the review workflow.
Can departments define critical actions and thresholds?
Yes. Those rules must be part of the department-approved assessment configuration and should not be silently supplied by the platform.
Can candidates see evaluator reports?
Detailed evaluator reports are for authorized department users unless the department has separately created and approved candidate-facing feedback.
How long are records retained?

What should departments verify?
Who can access assessment content?
Access is limited through department administration, evaluator, candidate, and attempt-specific workflows. Confirm the role design for your deployment during implementation.
What candidate activity may be recorded?
Depending on configuration, records may include responses, audio, video, transcripts, timing, navigation, technical events, and integrity-related events.
Is candidate data encrypted?
